The axle housing is one of the more popular places, however forks must be wide and tall enough. Some trucks such as Peterbilt have unequal width housings. Chain forks can be used in many ways. As shown below the chain fork lifts a completely wrecked truck -no axles or tires -and the under reach functions as a tow bar. The chain forks are milled from one high tensile steel bar and accept 1/2″ to 5/8″ chain. The other picture shows a dump truck lifted from the rear where no easily accessible lift point was available.
