Part # 82200803
Most towing is performed by lifting the axle. These forks are designed for that purpose but can be used in many other ways. When lifting the axle make sure that the forks are positioned as close as possible to the U-bolts. This to avoid a sliding effect in turns.
Bottom and right side photos shows how the 3.25″ tall fork is lifting behind the spring hangers. This method allows the operator to reduce stinger extension to effect a reduced rear axle weight.
* Safety chains should always be used to prevent the towed vehicle from falling off. Make sure the chains are correctly attached and have no defects.
Attend any of the towing schools available nationwide to improve driver skills.
