The new Hendrickson STEERTEK AXLES doesn’t allow use of forks on the axle itself. See Hendickson Technical Bulletin below. Freightliner as well as Vovlo trucks use the new axle and school busses will be equipped with same axle from July 2003.
Next year most trucks will have this type of axle and can only be lifted by the lower axle wraps. Towing the vehicle by the axle will cause scarring and resultant damage to the axle and void warranty.
